A unique voice for deeper conversations
J.P.S. Stalder is a California native, who relocated to the Kansas City area in July of 2021. A writer and avid reader from a young age, Stalder’s passion for language, people, culture, and philosophy led to a degree studying rhetoric and political science. For more than twenty years, he has worked in the government sector, specializing in grant writing, proposal development, and award administration.
After the passing of his father in January 2023, Stalder rededicated himself to fiction writing in order to make the most of the limited time we have in life and leave something beautiful behind for his daughter and family.
Winner of Something Or Other Publishing 2024 Short Story Contest - 1st Place in Historical Fiction, "Kansas, Ever Bleeding", his debut novel “BLINK-BLINK: a dystopian love story” was released April 12, 2025. His second release, “Sentinels in the Oakwood” (Austin Macauley, 2025) was released June 20, 2025.
"Artificial Messiah: Legacy of a Fallen Prophet" is scheduled for release 09/26/26.

The coldness of it all divides and leaves little room for original, independent ideas. And it's happening to more than art - polarization of political spectrum is influenced by the same.
I'm not a fan of labels; I care about free people having a voice. And I am deeply concerned about the growing role technology plays in our society. It's my daughter's future at stake - it's all our future. We need to make the most of it.
My stories are rooted in an encouragement to the reader: think and feel for yourself. You decide what you believe - don't surrender your voice for validation. Don't censor your art because your truth is unpopular. That message is what makes my stories powerful - it's also what makes them sometimes unpopular with those who don't want to wrestle with challenging ideas."
