Manny's dad is dying. Left with no money for treatment, he is sent on a mission by Potentia's Kiln - a modern, AI-governed church. Guided by a sultry partner from the church, he's asked to go blindly on faith with the promise the church can help. When his path collides with Sunny, daughter of a fallen prophet, both are forced to confront what they actually believe in - what is worth worshipping? Artificial Messiah is a speculative exploration and social critique burning sage at the confluence of good and evil. Breaking genres, it tackles the messiness of faith, technology, and human behavior in a world where religious values and cultural values have blurred. It is a test of whether the purity of sacred truths like love, compassion, and forgiveness can remain, when its teachers have ulterior motivations.
